Sarah Springett has danced and performed since childhood, firstly at Essex Dance Theatre and later gaining a place to study at Laine Theatre Arts. In her 3 years at Laines she gained two Associate Teaching Qualifications with the I.S.T.D and a diploma in Performing Arts, as well as taking numerous drama and dance examinations and being chosen as Head Girl in her final year.
Since graduating in 2000 Sarah has taught all over the U.K and has a wealth of experience in many different teaching environments. She has provided dance tuition at Stagecoach Colchester for over a decade, teaching children from their Early Years right through to their late teens. She has also been involved with Stagecoach's charitable organisation 'Interact' – teaching inclusive classes for both mainstream students and those with special educational needs or physical disabilities.
Sarah has worked in many schools and colleges on behalf of organisations such as Creative Partnerships and Bassistry Music, tackling everything from Carnival Samba workshops to Cheerleading to G.C.S.E Dance as well as teaching extra-curricular classes and workshops for council run sports centres and youth services and local theatre schools such as Drama Theatre Rama and Genesis Theatre Arts.
Sarah's passion for the performing arts coupled with a natural ability to connect with children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities makes her a strong and creative teacher who always aims to bring out the best in every student.
Having known Natalie since those early days back at Essex Dance Theatre, Sarah is delighted to be able to assist during her maternity leave at Genesis Theatre Arts and is already loving getting to know and to work with such a talented and fun group of young people!
